Ca’ Lucrezia was born from a love story
a love for Venice, for the sea, and for a life meant to be shared, day after day.
Elisa and Flavio met among boats and moorings, surrounded by oars, trails on the water, and the demanding rhythms of nautical life and hospitality.
For years, they balanced opposite schedules, work, and family life, until they chose to change course and find a safe harbour of their own.
A place where they could slow down, welcome travellers, and share the city they love.
The bitta
An important part of Ca’ Lucrezia’s story is captured in its logo.
In Venetian nautical tradition, a bitta (in English a bollard) is the solid mooring post where boats are secured when they dock, the point designed to withstand wind and sea, the one sailors rely on when they need stability and safety.
Wrapped around the bitta is a rope forming the symbol of infinity. It is a flat knot, also known as a love knot, the same symbol Elisa and Flavio wear engraved on their wedding rings.
And so, Ca’ Lucrezia became their safe harbour and, at the same time, a starting point for those who wish to discover the most authentic Venice, an intimate home where every detail tells a story and every stay becomes part of their journey.
